Guide to the Cardinal Blogosphere and the Repercussions of Howard's contract on the Cards

No, I'm not really back to regular blogging but thanks to those readers who are still hanging on and subscribing to CNG. I wanted to toss a post out because Daniel, the guru of the UCB, has just produced "The Definitive Guide To The Cardinal Blogosphere," an awesome summary and synthesis of all the United Cardinal Bloggers -- highly recommended reading.

As for what's on my mind right now, Cardinal-wise. I'm wondering what the repercussions of Ryan Howard's newly penned contract will be the Cardinals ability to re-sign Pujols. Howard just agreed to a five-year contract with the Phillies that will guarantee him $125 million. Twenty-five million dollars a year... really!? Ryan Howard is certainly not the player Albert Pujols is, which means that number 5 will almost certainly command $30+ million a year now.
