St. Louis, Missouri was the westernmost and southernmost U.S. city to host a major league baseball team until 1955. The St. Louis Cardinals cultivated fans from all over the South, Midwest, and western United States through an expansive list of radio affiliates and a powerful flagship station, KMOX - this is the origin of Cardinal Nation.
Today, Cardinal fans span an even wider geographic area. On-line newspapers, streaming video, XM radio, and blogs allow Redbird fans to follow their team and interact with other fans from all over the world. Cardinal Nation is now global.
The aim of this blog is to serve as a communication center for Cardinal Nation. This blog is a place where I can interact with other Cardinals fans. I will post information on the Cards, links to Redbird related sites, record my current thoughts, and voice my latest opinions. You can comment on those posts and/or pass them along to other red-blooded St. Louis Cardinals fans.
I am very interested in the geography of St. Louis Cardinals fans and stories of how people came to be Cardinals fans. So feel free to leave comments and/or send me an e-mail telling me who you are, where you are from, and your most vivid Cardinal memories.
